Post your review and win a meal for two!
It’s December. It’s official. The festive season is upon us! A time for mince pies, sherry and those easy-peel tangerines… a time for cinnamon air fresheners, tinsel and fairy lights… and a time for fitting as many social gatherings into the month as your time – and budget – will allow!
Whether it's lunch time in the pub with your mates from university, an evening meal with your closest friends, or a big gathering of your extended family, now is the time to get those plans in place to spend time with the people you care about most – and, of course, around Christmas, food tends to be a central theme.
So, if your diary is beginning to fill up with events like this, why not share your experiences of eating out by posting a review of the places you visit here on iStarvin? Try asking yourself the following questions as a starting point:
- What was the ambience like?
- Were their Christmas decorations tacky or tasteful?
- Were the staff friendly and in the festive spirit?
- Is there room for a large group to sit together?
- What was the food like?
- What was the service like?
- Did they have a different menu?
- Was it better than it usually is?
- Did you book in advance?
- What could have been better? How?
- How would you rate the restaurant out of 5?
A review doesn’t have to take ages and it’s better to keep it short and to the point than have anything too lengthy, so you don’t have to write loads…all people want to read is an honest, open review about your visit so they know what to expect.
As if recommending your favourite restaurant to other people wasn’t already a fabulous idea, we’re giving you an added incentive, by giving you the chance to win a meal for two for every review that you add throughout December… the more reviews, the more chance of winning the prize – worth £100.
To enter, all you have to do is post your restaurant reviews here on the site. Each review will automatically be entered into the draw at the end of the month. So, what are you waiting for? Chinese… English… Indian… Italian… Japanese… Mexican… Thai… it doesn’t matter what food you’re eating, or where; just get posting your reviews – good luck!

- To take part in this Promotion you can enter via http://www.istarvin.com. To enter, simply: write a review of a place that you've eaten at that is listed on the iStarvin website. Multiple entries are allowed; the more reviews you write during December 2009, the greater the chance of winning.
- Reviews must be of reasonable length and quality and contain at least one paragraph (four lines). Single line/sentence reviews will be disqualified and will not be counted. ("It was good" is not good enough)
- The winner of the prize will be expected as part of the competition to return to the iStarvin website and review their paid for visit, which must also include at least 3 photos.
